Over the past two decades, along with his family,
Gary has been involved in four church plants in urban centres in Ontario.
Gary is co-author,
along with Dr. Timothy Starr, of How to Reproduce Your Church. He is also the
writer of Successful Church Building Programs. His most recent book, Hot Brass Tacks
is designed as a hand out for personal evangelism.
In recent years, Gary has been
the major writer of the Church Creation ToolBox which is an enhanced version of The
Ministry ToolBox, an extensive software program that includes strategic
planning, surveying and program planning tools for local churches. Church Growth
Resources Inc. of Cambridge Ontario is the developer of The ToolBox, which is
distributed widely across North America. As the originator of the systematic
program for personal contacting as exhibited in "The Titus Plan," Gary
has been the inspirational leader behind the development of the book "The
Titus Plan." This resource documents the philosophy and the steps to
practical fulfillment for anyone raising personal support from donations.
Gary’s wife Wendy
serves as Office Coordinator for World Team Canada. The Carter’s have four
children and take great fulfilment from the fact that all are involved in
ministry and missionary work in many places.
"The work of
Kainos Ministries is to assist Christian missions and denominations in sending
more missionaries to the field and to plant more churches in North America and
around the world.", says Carter.
"We believe that
one of the traditional brick walls for missions and church planting has been
funding the missionary or church planter. Many are willing and available
to go - they just do not know how to get their support raised. At Kainos,
we will use the tried and true methods of communication to raise support on
behalf of the candidate. We will work with mission agencies and
denominations to enable workers to get to the field.", Carter continued.
Long a passionate
supporter of both missions and church planting, Carter and the team at Kainos
have developed and tested strategies to raise more support sooner. Kainos
Ministries will work with individuals needing to raise support but who do not
yet have a mission/denominational home and then link them to appropriate
ministry connections. Kainos will also assist individuals who are serving
under a denomination or mission but who need help raising the necessary support.
"As Christians,
we believe that everyone has been gifted in different ways. Not many
potential church planters or missionaries have the gifts to raise their
support. Even fewer have an opportunity to be trained on how to
effectively reach out for support. The role of Kainos is to enable those
raising their own support and to raise support for those who need help.
Let the missionary or church planter concentrate on their spiritual and
practical preparation for their ministry. Kainos can do what it is good at
doing so that those willing to go to the field can concentrate on getting
there."
Kainos invites
interested missions, denominations and individuals to contact Rev. Carter for
more information.
